Dan Țucu and Redport invest 180 million euros in 2,000 apartments near Petrom City
Real estate developer Redport Capital, controlled by lawyer Cosmin Savu-Cristescu, and businessman Dan Șucu, owner of furniture retailer Mobexpert, have obtained the first necessary approvals for the development of a large residential project, with about 2,000 apartments, near Petrom City, a booming area that has attracted real estate investments from a number of reputable entrepreneurs, such as Raul Doicescu, Horia Ciorcilă or Vasile Armenean, according to data analyzed by Profit.ro. The two investors paid about 13 million euros for a 4.4-hectare plot of land that they bought near Petrom City. For this site, the developers have obtained a Detailed Urban Plan (PUD) for the construction of the first two stages. The project, called Infinity Nord, represents an investment estimated at over 180 million euros and is designed in three development phases, with a total of approximately 2,000 apartments and 20,000 square meters of commercial space. The residential development will have a total buildable area of 123,000 square meters, which includes housing, commercial areas, medical and educational facilities, as well as 1,500 parking spaces.

"The approval of the PUD represents an essential step in implementing our vision for Infinity Nord, a project designed around unique and futuristic elements that support the 15-minute City concept," says Dan Țucu, founder and CEO of the Mobexpert group. 60% of the apartments in the first phase of the Infinity Nord project have already been sold in the pre-sale stage, and 95% of the retail space has already been leased, the investors reported. An Auchan supermarket with an area of 2,400 square meters will also open within this complex, and another 1,800 square meters will be dedicated to the World Class health & fitness club, a project that will also include a 25-meter-long, semi-Olympic indoor pool with four lanes and a relaxation area.

Dan Șucu, the owner of furniture manufacturer Mobexpert, entered the real estate market strongly in 2023 together with real estate developer Redport Capital, owned by lawyer Cosmin Savu-Cristescu, and Meta Estate Trust. Together they bought a 4.4-hectare plot of land near Petrom City on which they want to build 1,000 apartments. In the same formula, they also bought two more plots of land with a cumulative area of 15,000 square meters from Antrepriza de Construcții Montaj nr. 4 București (ACM4) and Havi Logistics, which are used for phases 3 and 4 of the development of the residential complex The Level, started by Savu-Cristescu on Intrarea Străulești, and which will include 355 apartments. Phase 3 of the The Level complex, in which Dan-Matei Șucu, the eldest son of the owner of Mobexpert, is now also involved, is under construction, with a delivery plan by the end of the year. The new block will also have a commercial area of 400 square meters and 136 parking spaces, and the investment in this phase is calculated at 13 million euros. Recently, Șucu initiated the process of authorizing the construction of a new residential complex, which will include about 200 villas and will be located in Pipera, near the Mobexpert Homes villa complex, which he completed in 2023. Dan Șucu also partnered with Redport for the development of a residential complex with over 500 apartments located on the site of the former Policolor resin department in the 23 August neighborhood of Bucharest, whose development value was estimated at 50 million euros. Dan Șucu is also working on the final stage of development of the Arcadia Apartments residential complex in the Domenii area of Bucharest, a project whose sales value upon completion was estimated at over 150 million euros. Together with his college colleague Marian Mihai, Dan Țucu is also set to deliver to the market a luxury residential complex with 121 apartments on Șoseaua Nordului, one of the most exclusive areas of Bucharest.
