Ranking of the 20 largest companies in Romania in 2024

The most important local companies by turnover managed to grow their business in 2024, but profits were affected. Thus, half of the 20 companies had profit decreases or even recorded losses compared to the previous year, according to the ranking of the 20 largest local companies by turnover prepared by Ziarul Financiar based on Bridge to Information data.

The ranking is dominated again this year by OMV Petrom, which had a decrease in turnover of 12%, to 29 billion lei. Despite the decrease in business, the company managed to increase its profit by 5%, to 4 billion lei.

The next position is occupied by Automobile Dacia, which managed to reach a turnover of 27.8 billion lei, up 71.5% compared to the previous year.
