Hornbach, one of the greatest\u00a0retailers<\/a>\u00a0Europeans in the DIY sector will pay\u00a08.9 million euros<\/strong>\u00a0(excluding VAT) for the purchase of\u00a07.4 hectares<\/strong> in order to build a store in the Mall Moldova area. ,Hornbach intend to open the first store in the northeastern area of the country in Ia\u0219i, information published in an article published in December 2025<\/a>.<\/div>\n
According to information\u00a0APIX.ro<\/mark><\/strong>, the payment of money will be made\u00a0gradually<\/strong>\u00a0depending on the fulfillment of certain\u00a0established conditions<\/strong>\u00a0upon conclusion of the promise of sale and purchase between\u00a0Hornbach Real Estate<\/strong>\u00a0and the current owner of the land\u00a0(Oasis Energy 2 SRL)<\/em><\/strong>The latter has already begun the authorization process for the construction of the commercial complex, and\u00a0a first favorable opinion (that of opportunity) was issued at the end of 2025<\/a>.<\/div>\n

IKEA paid 80 euros\/sqm, Hornbach 120 euros\/sqm<\/h2>\n

Selling price\u00a0(120 euros\/sqm plus VAT)<\/em>\u00a0is with\u00a050% larger<\/strong>\u00a0compared to the one agreed upon by\u00a0IKEA in view of purchasing land in the same area<\/a>\u00a0(next to Leroy Merlin). In July 2023, the Swedish retailer signed an agreement to pay almost\u00a04.2 million euros<\/strong>\u00a0for\u00a05.2 hectares<\/strong>,\u00a0the price is 80 euros\/sqm<\/a>. Construction of the IKEA store could start this year (the authorization has been issued<\/a>), but the retail chain has not yet announced a concrete calendar. The only certainty is that the retailer will come with a different concept in Ia\u0219i compared to the stores in Bucharest and Timi\u0219oara, as\u00a0a company official recently announced<\/a>.<\/p>\n
