Linella has invested the most in the growth of its chains \u2013 122 stores nationwide, Local \u2013 90 stores, Rogob \u2013 65, Family Market \u2013 41, Super Linella \u2013 36, \u201cFidesco\u201d \u2013 31, \u201cCip Market\u201d \u2013 29, \u201cMerci Gastronome\u201d \u2013 25, \u201cExpress Linella\u201d \u2013 22, \u201cSupermarket N1\u201d \u2013 18, \u201cFourchette\u201d -10, \u201cKaufland\u201d \u2013 9, \u201cBonus\u201d \u2013 8, \u201cPegas\u201d and \u201cOcean Fish\u201d \u2013 7 points of sale each. The ten chains own 50% of the total number of stores in Moldova. Local was the fastest in growing its volumes, expanding its assets to 90 stores in 2025. \u201cThe total turnover of the top 10 chains in 2024 was 1.55 billion euros, 23.4% more than in 2023,\u201d said Maria Hurduk. \u2013 The highest sales were recorded by Dragan Group, which owns the Linella group \u2013 11.6 billion lei. Second place is held by Imensitate (local chain), with a turnover of 4.8 billion lei. Third place was occupied by Supermarket N 1, with 3.9 billion lei. Among the transnational operators, Metro Cash $ Carry had the highest sales \u2013 3.2 billion lei.\u201d According to Bogdana Gheorghe, director of the analytical company "RetailZoom", the consumer basket also records positive growth: it increased by 8% in terms of quantity and by 19% in terms of value. At the same time, the general consumer perception is that Moldova has one of the most expensive consumer baskets in Europe. In general, in 2024, the volume of chain sales increased, taking up 38% of the total turnover. At the same time, gas station stores have a more dynamic evolution (plus 8.3% in January 2025). Only one category of goods generates the most revenue in these points of sale - tobacco products (51.4%). As for the so-called traditional stores, they show the most frequent dynamics of price increases, while maintaining their share in the Moldovan retail market.<\/p>\n
