4 billion lei for investments!

October 15, 2025, Chisinau – The Government approved the amendment to the Regional State Aid Scheme for investments made in the Republic of Moldova. The project provides for an increase in the scheme's budget from 2 billion to 4 billion lei, due to the significant increase in demand from the business environment and the financial support offered by European partners.
Of this amount, 1 billion lei will be allocated in the form of non-refundable grants, and 3 billion lei will constitute 50% income tax reductions, applicable to income obtained from investments made through this mechanism. Also, a maximum ceiling of 20 million lei per grant awarded to an enterprise is introduced.
"We have started a process of encouraging investments. We need to have equity, attract attention where the added value is higher, and increase opportunities for a wider spectrum of companies. This is the essence of the changes," said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
To ensure efficient and equitable use of public resources, the application evaluation process will be strengthened. The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization will develop a methodology for evaluating project eligibility, with the aim of selecting investment projects with lasting economic impact.
Since the launch of the scheme at the beginning of this year, 8 enterprises have already benefited from support.
